A star in cyclo-cross, as of last year Zdenek managed to make name for himself in road racing last year with two extraordinary successes on the roads of the 4 Jours de Dunkerque, and went on to repeat the feat a few months later in a stage of the Tour de Pologne and riding in the Vuelta a España at the end of the season. In 2013 Zdenek will concentrate most of his efforts on road racing, to further improve and make it onto the team that will race in the northern classics, his secret ambition. Zdenek lives in Belgium, near Essen, with his girlfriend, although he never misses a chance to visit his beloved hometown of Stribro, where he has opened a small, family-run hotel that is managed by his sister.

OPQS Rider Update: Surgery for Zdenek Stybar

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team rider Zdenek Stybar underwent surgery this morning to his right knee due to inflammation of a prepatellar tissue. The surgery was performed by professor Bellemans at the AZ Gasthuisberg Leuven. The surgery went well and Stybar is already at home.

OPQS Paris-Roubaix Press Conference
