Francesco's news

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team once again worked hard at the front to bring back the break of the day, helping to ensure the 165.5km Tour of Beijing Stage 4 came down to a field sprint, with Tony Martin not losing any time as the overall leader.

Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team, in a "hard rest day" stage according to race commentators, worked at the front to chase down multiple breaks in the 139km Stage 18, from San Vito di Cadore to Vedelago, on Thursday. As the last break attempt was caught with 3.5km to go, the team brought Francesco Chicchi to the front to try and get the sprint specialist a stage victory.

Francesco Chicchi was the top Omega Pharma - Quick-Step Cycling Team finisher in a 121km Giro d'Italia Stage 13 on Friday.
