Tom Boonen attended the annual Fandag on Saturday. He stopped briefly to offer an update on his condition.
My foot is feeling better. After Paris-Roubaix, I spent three days recovering. Rather then the bike, I worked on my new house. After that, I did some training with the mountain bike. No more than one hour a day. Finally, in the last days, I was on the road bike a little bit. Now, the training starts again. I'm going to ride AMGEN Tour of California. I am the leader of the WorldTour, but the season is long and it won't be easy for me to take points. If I will be among the best riders in the classification in September I will try to fight for a good position in the WorldTour GC. My goals this year are the Olympics and the world championships, but let's start with California first.
